Although it looks like a decision has been made, I'll add this to what has been discussed.
I used Stromberg BXVD's on my 235 in a three carb configuration. They were very responsive, didn't leak and were easy to tune.
From what I read, the Carters are more mainstream, and quite easy to get parts for, but many old hotrodders used the Strombergs...maybe they knew something we don't know.
