There is a slight decrease in driveability with the larger clutch because of it's rotating mass.
A small lighter clutch disc will slow down faster and allow you to shift faster, more car like.
Probably very minimal, but there is theoretically a difference.
The larger clutch will be harder on synchronizers if you are not good at matching speeds and just jam it into gear hoping the synchronizers will do the work for you.
I have the 11" one in my truck, and have no problems with it, I'll even say I would not use the smaller one if I was given one for free.
