Wrenchbender, Thanks for the advice and things went well. I'm now onto my next problem which is white smoke from the exhaust. I changed spark plugs and the smoke got worse. My friend is going to look at it on the 20th to see what needs to be done, the car having sat for 20&years and started for a couple of minutes from time to time to stop things from siezing, it may just need a good run.
