TIm, Thanks. Since this engine was rebuilt at some previous point in its life and was pulled from a '48 truck I don't think I am doing anything too "out there." I have put it back together with copious amounts of assembly lube and am planning on running Joe Gibbs oil in it for the first 500 or so. Any additional tips from you or anyone are sure welcome.
