The silver pot is the solenoid, if it has the correct color coded wires it should be black wire to the #4 terminal, green wire to #6 terminal and the pink wire to the govenor which is on the upper right rear of the unit. Your book should have a wiring schematic in the trouble shooting part of the overdrive section. It just shows where the wires go but does not indicate the color or wire size. If your book does not have an OD section try to find an earlier book. Fred
