I have to determine a year for the guys at the parts counter. I also have to determine if it's a high or low pressure oiling system. I don't know when the last time this engine ran and I'm trying to clean it up so I can try starting it. So far I've found out that the truck is titled as a 1953 3/4 ton, but the wheelbase cab and box indicate it's 47-50 1/2 ton. The chassis components, brakes, ect. indicate a 1950. The wheel cylinders were for a 1/2 ton but the master cylinder was for a 3/4 ton. The short side plate on the engine tells me it's 235. I wish I could find the block casting number. So far what I have is a typical old truck.
