The engine ID was ground off most likely because it was a replacement engine. It is a high pressure engine, since it has that head. The head was used from 56-62 on car and truck 235s.

Maybe someone else can identify the block casting.

The head most likely has a valve cover that is attached with 4 machine screws on the sides?

On page 5 of the Master Parts book at the link above are definitions for abbreviations. D-D stands for the Forward-Control Chassis (Dubl-Duti - Delivery Van - model 3942 ?).
