1952 3100.
The new emergency brake cable that I bought won't install through the bracket that is attached to the frame. The bracket with the pinch bolt. It's up by the adjustment end. A large jam nut makes the cable too wide to slide through the bracket. On the drum side of the cable, the crimped on bracket that has 2 bolts into the backing plate prevents that end from sliding through. Anyone ever had this problem? I guess the only way to fix it is to undo the crimped bracket-which I hate to do- slide the cable in place and re-crimp the bracket on the drum side. Any other suggestions. (I'm never gonna make the Charlotte, NC auction/show mid April)
