some of you may have read my recent posts under the title "just rebuilt - now an engine knock"....I'm sure people are tired of it re-appearing; however, the issue is still at hand. Could the harmonic balancer be causing the noise?When I re-installed the balancer after the rebuild, I just placed it over the key, whacked it a few times with a hammer as far as it would go, and that was the end of story. I'm wondering if it could have loosend up somehow, and if so, would it mimic a main bearing noise?
