is it the old original balancer? mabey it needs replaced regardless of how you installed it. i made a brass driver to install the 250/292 ones. i had a instalation tool beak off in the crank on the tapped end on a 292. as long as they are driven on straight and only connecting with the inner portion the instillation should be ok. i have used a brass drift alternating it around but made a specific brass driver to connect all the way around and be sure to drive on straight. hey curt is the hotplate hard on the rubber ring at all. i have heard of heating them but always a little afraid to myself. hr
