There are numerous differences that would make the conversion difficult, and it's entirely possible you'd never complete the project.

The cab? I was not aware there were differences there.
My floor is rusted out, so that is not a concern. I have to replace it anyway.
I expected to loose the transmission crossmember, but not others.
Steering column and linkage = yes.
I would not sell the rear axle.

What are the numerous differences?
