Spoke with Tommy (ModelMan) last night from Stovebolt. He couldn't make it out, so I braved the work myself. Turns out after I put the darn return spring back on the starter and replaced the distributor cap & points, it runs much better. He was right, my timing had not been negatively adjusted --- just my confidence.

I posted a video for everyone to check out the engine running.
It sounds good and I adjusted the idle, but cannot tell by ear yet if it where it should be. How do you check RPM without a tachometer?
