Is this a V-8 you're working with? The 305 4-barrel engines with Electronic Spark Control used a 5-pin module with a different spacing on the alignment pins to the housing, so it would take a major rework of the housing, plus a different wiring harness and pickup coil to make it work.

It's simpler to get an old-style HEI distributor with a 4-wire module and the right pickup coil for a conversion job.
