Installed one on my 54 3100 with Saginaw 4 speed and open driveline this weekend. What a difference! The PO had installed a HURST shifter but the stick was too short, shifts were sloppy and regularly got stuck in 2nd gear. After weeks of trying to fix the old one that was also too close to the seat, I ordered one from Patricks. Still a Hurst Competition shifter but with custom mounting plate (I had to do a little grinding to make it fit just right) and a long stick. Now the stick is right by my side,in the middle of the floor where it should be, shifts clean (I can use all four speed wahoo) and is much more pleasant to drive. Thanks to everyone in this forum I was able to research the kit and a number of 4 speed issues before settling on the Patricks product.
