Last night a 1948 Chevy COE stake bed was on the Barrett-Jackson auction block. The cab was dropped on a modern GM drive train with a 350 and automatic transmission and a bunch of modern bells and whistles. Check out their auction site; it is lot #430.2. Based on one picture, it is a beautiful truck.

With the buyers premium it went for $97,900 and as I post this, for the moment is the highest value vehicle so far.

Maybe I made a mistake keeping my COE mostly stock, (just kidding).
