Original high production cars and trucks in most cases are worth less than if they were modified, sad to say. Look at all of the modified/street rods from the 30's up at these auctions bringing 70, 90 or 100K + while the originals bring 30 or 40K.
I know streetrodders that look for high point originals to chop up because they get a good foundation to start with and in many cases they get lots of NOS sheet metal. They don't have to search for anything, it's all there and that's worth a lot to them because time is money!
