When we ran the family race car on a Methanol/Hydrogen Peroxide mixture, we used Amyl Acetate as an additive to break down the surface tension and help the components mix. It had a pungent odor some people thought smelled like banannas, so it got the nickname "bananna oil". Just a couple of drops in an unattended cup of coffee would get a guy's attention in a hurry! Liquid Wrench has an odor very similar to it, so it's possible that might be part of the mix.
