All Chevy V8 hydraulic lifters are adjusted the same way- - - -get both valves closed on the base circle of the cam, take out the slack in the pushrod, and turn the ball stud nut another 3/4 -1 turn to compress the lifter slightly. Use the search function here to find "companion cylinder valve adjustment". The companion cylinders on a Chevy V8 are:
1 8 4 3
6 5 7 2
When #1 is "rocking", with the exhaust valve closing and the intake opening, #6 is on TDC of the compression stroke, ready to adjust. Follow the firing order, and all 16 valves can be adjusted in 2 turns of the engine.
