I'll have to measure Dad's unless someone else chimes in with the info. I don't recall changing anything with the brakes though, so they must be the same.
As far as the rear axle, I picked up a dually conversion kit (made for single wheel trucks) and used the spacer from that kit on my '50 to get my wheels out where I wanted them. They are a bolt on spacer that is about 6". You can find something similar in JC Whitney.
