Ben, since this is the welcome centre, and not everyone visits here you would be better posting your questions in the best forums like Engine or maybe the General Truck Talk. Theres plenty of knowledge and info on the site and the best folks you'll find anywhere.

Oh, there is a vin buster in the tech tips......
EDIT: I checked the vin number and it says your truck was built in June 1948 in St.Louis and is a 2 ton with a 161" wheelbase.
To verify, or learn to check, just go to the tech tips and then scrool down to "how to identify your truck".
