Lug sent tme the Tech and MSDS sheets on Picklex and from what I read, the product doesn't need to be washed completely off, or neutralized (according to them). It says it needs to be perfectly dry (wipe, forced air and time)but that was it. They also state that it actually AIDS in aherence of primers and paints - and they don't specify WHICH primers or paints. the only precaution I read was not to use an Etch Primer over it (presumably due to the acid content).
As Lug previously said, it's basic active ingredient is Phosphoric Acid - like most rust converters. The Picklex MSDS sheet says it's part of a chemical group called "Ortho-Esters".....but after a bit of research, I couldn't tell you how that figures into it!
