The hood embelems were ALL the same for Second Series 1955 trucks regardless of the engine installed, there was no differenct between 6 and 8 cylinder equiped embelems. The picture of 1955_Chevy_6400's truck shows the correct emblem that was used on ALL 1955 Second Series trucks.

The long skinny emblems used on the 56/57 trucks were made with and without a "V", which identified the truck as having a V8 engine.
