on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 84 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 84 | I'm Reinstalling the rear leaf springs in my 59 and I have a quick question that I could of answered myself if I would have taking pictures before disassembly. Anyway, when installing the springs on the rear bracket ( the bracket that's farthest aft, closest to the bumber. the one with the threaded bushing) do's the spring mount above or below the bracket? What I'm trying to say is , were should the spring eye end up with the shackels. Up or down of the bracket? It can mount either way, but The correct way is what I'm looking for. Oh, by the way I flipped the rear axle if this has any affect on which way it should be mounted. Any help will be appreciated. If I have confused anybody and you need pictures of what I'm talking about I can do that also. JOSH | | |
