I need to know about cutting off the T5 bearing retainer. I have read all the threads but I'm not sure how much to cut off. I need to use an adaptor for my 216 bell housing so do I measure the length from the adaptor plate or do I use the length of the bearing retainer from my original trans. There may be as much as 1/4" difference between these two measurements. Does this matter? I know that several of the Stovebolt family have made this swap using an adaptor, so what did you do? Thanks George | | |
