You can never know if it was due to spark or fuel unless its checked right at the moment. The tank has to be very low to slosh enough to uncover the pick up tube. I've seen small flakes in carb bottoms that could restrict ports if bounced around. If it repeats, be prepared to pull the air filter & watch down the carb throat for a gas spray as you full stroke the acc. linkage. Then you'll at least know whether to investigate the ign. or fuel system.
