i couldn't get any more creative than that. i bought this gas tank online. it's looks to be in pretty good shape after my wife cleaned it up, (ya, she's involved with this restoration thing : ) ). anyway, there are two outlets in the bottom of the tank. one has a brass screw in it, the other has a broke off brass fixture of some type in it. i could not get it out with an easy out. but, i do not believe the threads have been damaged. first, is this the gas outlet? 2nd, how do i get what remains of the fixture out? 3rd, what is the part called that goes into this outlet, and where do i get one? and lastly, what do i treat the inside of the gas tank with before painting and storing until the truck is ready to receive it? a picture of the bottom of someones gas tank would be appreciated. pictures of my gas tank showing the broke off screw are posted. thanx, marc
