I have the same problem as you, my hood fit good till i restored my truck lol.with the springs on, the back is high after doing the adjustments, but with the springs off it lays nice and flat. I think mine is due to replacing the cowl sides, the heat might have afected the enlongated holes. My plan is when i can get help to take the hood off im going to file it down some and put on the new hod hinge kit. The past owner decided to cut the stopper off on the hinge so you have to be careful when you raise it up.
