Yes, I changed some tires around and got rid of some old tires I had acquired and two were the two piece variety with 8 holes. They went to the scrapyard.
The 8 hole rims with the lock rings are OK if the tire shop will work with them, you have to find the right guys with tire cages and experience mounting them. My tires are 7:50 - 17's.
