Thanks 3B, i got it. and it worked, only a tiny bit of gas leaked from where the top and bottom half's of the carb join.
For setting the idle speed though, my truck idles real rough and will only continue to run if somebody keeps pressure on the gas pedal... any ideas as to what can be done? i first tried with the idle screw all the way in, didnt work. then i tried 2 and a half turns out... still no. then i tried 4, again no......help
