Hey 49er, The 1/4"to3/16" adpts i bought were threaded(female) on both ends so all you had to do is double flair the 3/16" w/male connecter and then double flair the 1/4" w/male connecter and thread the two together. Thats how I did it. Hang in there, somebody on this site will give you the answer you need. Mike
