| | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 1,107 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 1,107 | i took a angle grinder with a wire wheel and buzzed the whole truck including the box. i experimented in places with rusto hunter green. it looked ok. i ended up using "XO RUST" hunter green its better than rustoluem so thre guy said at the paint store. its going on four years now and its holding up well. the only place where its coming off is from using the dump as a dump from wear and tear. every winter when its in the garage getting a pre physical for the inspection garage i give it a wash and go over it with a coating of meguires quick wax and it brings the sheen/shine right back out. whats nice with the XO RUST is that it dries to touch(light handling) in about two hours with the right air unlike forever with rusto.
my webshots shows before and after pics of the dump. the sheen isnt as great as the parade set up but then it was just painted and garage kept until i got the 40. | | |
