I am needing the proper speedometer gear for a 53 1/2 ton with a 4-speed. I have recently acquired a u-joint assembly to accommodate my 1/2 ton's, with 4-speed, enclosed drive shaft but I still don't have the proper speedo gear that inserts in the side of the transmission as my transmission originated in a 3/4 ton truck. My truck, I believe, has the 4:11 rear gearing.
Does anyone know what the proper tooth count is for the gear that inserts in the side of the transmission so I know what I should be looking for?
Another thought is: does anyone know where I can get the speedometer gears suitable for a 3:54 rear differential gearing?
