Chris,
Do not fully tighten the two manifolds to the head/block - just light-snug tighten them with no gaskets between the manifolds and the head/block. Then, fully tighten the intake to exhaust manifold with one gasket between them. Then tighten the manifolds to the head/block.
Got it! Except from this description, are you saying do not use any gaskets at the manifold/head connection???
