The battery cable from the starter goes to the negative post on the battery (-). The ground cable goes from the block to the positive (+). The coil wires are neg. to the points , and pos. to the supply, which is actually backward for positive ground but it's running fine. I had posted elsewhere that some older coils had double windings which allowed them to work either way. I don't have the answers, but I am confident this truck should be negative ground and I would like to correct it.
