My truck seemed to be a hybrid when it comes to early and late 41-46's. My truck was completely a black out model. No chrome. All the door handles inside and out were plastic. Window posts were not ground off. However, it did also have 7 bed slats and 5 bolts above the floor in the fenders.
Sometimes it's just easier to say it's a '46 just so I don't have to argue with people. I always find it amaizing that people feel the need to try and correct me, like I haven't done my research on MY TRUCK! I can't imagine walking up to someone at a car show and telling someone they don't know about their vehicle.
Oh well. I'm gonna have some printed documents with me from now on stating that civilian production restarted fully on August 20th, 1945 and let people decided what they want from there.
Swifster, Yes, here in Nebraska, they did use engine block numbers on my title.
