For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 127 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 127 | I'm working on the ignition system trying to sort things out. While turning the ignition switch on and off checking voltages here and there I noticed smoke coming from the resistor on the fire wall. The key had only been on for a few seconds (less than 20) and I shut the key off. Could this be due to the fact there is debris inside (i.e. spider-webs and dirt) or is the resistor bad or do I have something hooked up wrong? I Have not tried to start the truck so I do not know if it will or will not at this time I am only trying to figure this wiring out. Your help is greatly appreciated.
