I had a bus load of kids and adults on a Chevy bus with a 350 that dropped a valve 30 miles from home. Engine was running fine, no hint at trouble.
The second I heard the noise I hit the clutch and switch, but it was too late, the damage was already done. There was absolutley no warning this was going to happen. (This was a rebuilt engine that came in the bus)
