Cleaned the old pump and put an additional in-line filter on the gas line and installed the pump. So I think. Put it in place and could finger tighten the bolts until they were seated. There was a bit of tension on the pump from the diaphram lever. Took forever to start and when it did there was a loud "whomp-whomp" sound from the engine.
I figure installing the pump is fairly simple but is it? Is it possible the lever is on the wrong side of the came lobe or is that impossible. Did one once before on a 216 and it was fine. This is a 235.
