Josh,
I deleted my earlier post about engine codes (etc) because it is a Canadian GMC - foreign territory for me.
Looking at your flickr page 4 photos, it's a 1953 GMC cab - split windshield and the dash is not a 54 dash (it is 53 or earlier).
