It sounds kind of stupid but what if a corrosion resistant material was used for just the flat washers?
This would keep the large 1 inch diameter circles of rust (from cheap washers) from being smashed against the nicely painted frame.
Would SS washers with NAPA (or other generic/bulk source) grade 8 bolts/nuts lead to dissimilar metals corrosion?
or is there another material that is corrosion resistant besides SS?
(I am a youngster - reason for the questions showing my inexperience)
