For a good scraper that won't hurt paint etc. the harbor freight plastic scrapers are nice, I use them for lots of things, like removing old windshield rubber etc. Plastic is the best way to go
if you don't want to damage stuff. Hot pressure wash and steam cleaning takes it off too, if I remember, long time sice doing that.
