Camsore, not sure what you mean by 'original' undercoat?
Is the whole underside treated?
My '50 had very little from what I could see,is it possible a previous owner has done it?
What little there was on mine scraped off with a single edge razor blade, it was baked solid by the So-Cal sun.
It actually came off in flakes.
