If anything, a bypass filter does a better job of cleaning up the oil- - - - -it just takes a little longer. Converting a 216 to full flow would be a big job, involving some very creative machining. Untold numbers of these engines ran millions of miles with the oil system it was designed to use- - - -why second-guess something that works because of the ridiculous rumor that the filtering is ineffective?
