Had one last year, a 91 with 202k and ran like new. No lifter or valve train noise of any kind. Did not burn oil and got about 17 mpg general driving city and some highway. In the 20s on the highway. It was TBI which has less problems than port injection. I have owned both. Cheaper than port to fix too. Cost me $600 for the central port injector and the fuel rails. TBI is much less and less sensors to mess with. Wished I kept that red 91. Will buy another in a month or so I hope and will keep it. 92 was the last TBI. Very reliable! Just a proven design like the 350 its bigger cousin. H.
