I that a 350 installed in my 72 Stepside. The engine was overhauled not to long ago and I have just replaced the cam and heads for performance. What I have is one of the comp cams extreme 4x4 cams and a set of World Sportsman II heads. Now here are the problems.. I ran the engine to break in the cam like you are supposed to. At idle I was at 8 degrees advanced. After break in, I drove the truck down the road and it felt like I had 100 hp instead of the 350 - 375 hp that I was hoping for. What advance should I need for this setup? What am I missing??? Did I do something troubly wrong? Please help me!! What else could the problem be if not the timing??? The motor was in good shape I hope I didn't ruin it!!! Thanks! frown
