To me the noise was a general noisy one but I brought it to a mechanic and he seemed to think it was isolated to one cylinder. He didn't seem too worried about it but he wasn't sure exactly what was causing it. It definitely worried me when the noise stopped but it was a break from hearing it constantly. 3 quarts per tank is intense! I don't think I’ve gotten to that point yet luckily. If the problem is major I might just save up some money and build a new motor altogether... I was hoping to get more than 28,000 miles out of this one though.
