My '62 Chevy half ton had coil springs;my best friend's '63 GMC half ton had leaf springs. Maybe one or the other was offered with either set up available,but I was always told the Chevies were coil,the Jimmies were leaf. Like wrenchbender says-it just takes a bracket kit to make the swap. no big deal. I had a 3.55 posi from a '69 four wheeler swapped into my first '62,it took the guy about 3 hours,cuz he cut the mounts off my old axle and welded 'em onto the new one.
