The nut had a rounded "cap head" and would screw down through the arm onto the stem that comes through from the eide. My 37 had on right side windshield wiper but the inside plate was there to install one if I wanted. Sounds like someone had fitted one in yours or maybe installed some type of aftermarket.... although my electric aftermarket had a "stem" on it just like the original. Hope this helps. | | |
