Linked below are pictures of the front wheels and dump hoist on my 6100. The front wheels are definitely split rims. I like many of you have been very interested in replacing the front axle and associated wheels/brakes or at least hoping that someone far more gifted and knowledgeable than me solves the problem of keeping the axle beam and swapping everything from the kingpins out. Regardless, I was hoping that some of the expert eyes in the forum could take a look at the pictures and just confirm for me that they are the infamous RH5's. They appear to be in pretty good shape but I haven't ventured to try and get the tires replaced because I only have two of the wheels and I won't be able to move the truck around if they come apart and don't go back together. Also, I was told that the hoist is probably a Heil, but I have no idea if it is original, or if not what its vintage or specs are. As of yet I haven't been able to locate an identification plate on it anywhere. It works although it looks like some of the seals are leaking on both the pump and the ram. It definitely needs hydraulic fluid. My local NAPA carries hydraulic fluid in iso grades 32, 46, and 68 which would be the right one to use with the hoist? The reservoir appears to have a fill in the top. Should that be "topped" off or is there some other kind of fill procedure? Any information you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
