Cosmo,

I built a t-5 with the 26 spline input. It fits my truck like a glove. You are right the bearing retainer is the right length so no modifying needed. Plus it has a super sweet 1st gear, and decent close ratios. I have a bunch of info on my web site about the transmission I built.

What size pressure plate do you have? Go to your local FLAPS and ask for some one that can use the books to look up parts. Tell them you pressure plate size and the input spline number. They should be able to find something for you.

I have the small 9 1/4 inch pressure plate and the cosworth vega used a 26 spline tranny and a 9 1/4 inch pressure plate. So far everything works great on the shop floor.

Good luck. You have the best t-5 setup.
